Oktoberfest Events in Washington, D.C.

You may not make it to Munich this year, but don’t sweat it — there’s a stellar lineup of beer festivals in the D.C. region this fall. From Virginia to Maryland and in the District itself, you’ll find day–long celebrations of the food, music, and beer of Bavaria perfect for ringing in the new season.

Oktoberfest 2013 at Biergarten Haus
Saturday, September 21
Biergarten Haus (1355 H St. NE)
Biergarten Haus celebrates the H Street Festival and breaks out the Oktoberfest beers, German music and food in the festive beer garden.

Das Best Oktoberfest
Saturday–Sunday, September 27–28
National Harbor (165 Waterfront St.)
Don’t worry about stashing tokens in your lederhosen this year –– this festival is all–you–can–taste with more than 150 beers, wine and schnapps. Friday is Das Boot Nacht in which guests are treated to Das Boot glasses and a sausage dinner — while Saturday’s revelry has two ticket options: Regular, and VIP for two more hours of tasting and a special glass.

Fort Belvoir Oktoberfest
Thursday–Sunday, Oct. 3–6
Fort Belvoir Fremont Field (9500 Pohick Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060)
This 18th annual, four–day, family–friendly celebration includes a carnival, bazaar, bake sale, live music, Schnapps Haus and adults–only party tent.

Capitol City Brewing Company
Saturday, Oct. 5; 12–7 PM
Capitol City Brewing Shirlington (4001 Campbell Ave., Arlington)
Capitol Brewing Co’s 14th annual Oktoberfest celebration features German music, brews from more than 50 breweries, and food from local vendors.

Union Market DC (1309 5th St. NE)
