Denver Beer Co. Expanding With New Production Facility

Graham Cracker Porter in cans!
Denver Beer Co. Expanding With New Production Facility

Denver Beer Company is growing. The company just announced plans to open a production brewing facility in the Sunnyside neighborhood at 4455 Jason Street. Look for DBC beers in cans and bottles in the summer of 2014.

The company is under contract to own a 48,000 sq. ft. warehouse that will hold a new 30 barrel brew house and four 60 barrel fermenters. The facility will also feature a canning line from Wild Goose Canning in Boulder. The new brewery will have an initial brewing capacity of 5,000 barrels per year with room for future expansion. The brewery is schedule to start production in April after the Craft Brewers Conference.

Don't worry DBC fans. The original brew house and social gathering spot at 1695 Platte Street will remain and according to co-founder Charlie Berger, the company will can their most popular beers such the Kaffir Lime Wheat and the Graham Cracker Porter. The new facility will also bottle 22 oz. bombers of special seasonal beers and limited releases.

"Ever since we opened our doors in August 2011, Denver Beer Co. fans have been asking for cans and bottles," says co-founder Patrick Crawford. "We are excited to start canning beers for all those hikers, bikers, rafters, skiers, Denverites and beer lovers who like to drink good beer while they are out on adventures or enjoying a good meal."

The new facility will also house a tasting room and offer tours starting June 2014.
