by Lanna Nguyen on May 3, 2016 in Roundups

Derby Day in DC is fast approaching, which means you need these three things: seersucker anything, a ridiculous hat, and an endless supply of mint juleps within arm’s reach. Don your Derby Day best and head to these bars/restaurants to celebrate the fastest two minutes in sports.

Celebrating each race of the Triple Crown, Acadiana will have food and drink specials for the Derby including Hot Browns, Burgoo Stew and Derby Pie. Watch the race on big screen TVs while sipping on Mint Juleps made with Bulleit Bourbon. Make sure to wear your best hat or bow tie, as the snappiest dressers will win winners will be chosen for gift certificates. (901 New York Ave, NW; 202-408-8848)

Bar Dupont

If you prefer to go down the traditional route, fear not — Mint Juleps will be available all day long. (1500 New Hampshire Ave, NW; 202-483-6000)

BLT Steak

The cocktails are $16 each and will be available during lunch and dinner service. (1625 I St, NW; 202-689-8999)
