Where to Find Game Day Specials in D.C.

by Lanna Nguyen on Nov 1, 2016 in Roundups

Football season is in full swing, and whether you’re a diehard fan looking to cheer your team on or someone who wants to take part in a Sunday Funday, here’s where you should go for food and drink specials during NFL games.

As the name would suggest, Ohio reigns supreme at this sports bar, but all football fans are welcome to take part in their gameday deals: $4 Bud and Miller drafts ($14 for pitchers), $5 rail drinks, $18 PBR buckets. (1730 M St, NW; 202-670-1730)

Catch NFL games at the Arlington sports bar and beer garden and you’ll enjoy all-day happy hour on Sunday including specials on the wings. (2300 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington; 703-243-4900)

The craft brewery hosts game watches in its taproom each Sunday with happy hour deals on bar bites like popcorn, fries and wings. As if you needed more incentive to cheer on the hometown team, during Redskins games they serve $5 beers for each touchdown and half price burgers after every win. Fans can also put their names in for a raffle to win two tickets to the Redskins vs. Panthers game on 12/19 (every beer you order is a raffle entry) - the winner will be announced on December 11 during the Redskins vs. Eagles game watch. (115 East-West Hwy, Silver Spring; 301-557-9818)

Head to Alexandria for Sunday Funday at Fish Market. They show all the games at the Anchor Bar and offer a special Tailgate Menu with food and drink specials including burger sliders, cheese steaks, chili cheese dogs and more. There’s nothing better to pair your game day food with than an ice cold schooner. (105 King St, Alexandria; 703-836-5676)

This affordable neighborhood bar is a gathering spot for Midwest fans, especially Lions and Bears supporters. Nothing on the menu is over $10, and with multiple spaces to watch games, including the roof deck, this relaxed Shaw bar is an ideal place for drinking beers, eating hot dogs and enjoying Sunday football. (1537 7th St, NW; 202-670-9489)

Head to Mad Fox’s Glover Park location to catch Sunday games while enjoying bottomless brunch (buffet, mimosas and a bloody Mary bar for $40) or Monday night games and get $4 Kolsch’s. (2218 Wisconsin Ave, NW; 202-791-0389)

Watch the Redskins (or any other team) on Sundays and enjoy all day happy hour drink specials. (700 6th St, NW; 202-905-2999)

The multi-level sports bar in Dupont Circle offers food and drink specials during NFL games, including $4 Bud Light, Blue Moon and Dos Equis and $3 Miller Lite. (1214 18th St, NW; 202-223-2200)

The U Street sports bar serves up $5 mimosas, $9 bloody Marys and $28 champagne bottles during brunch on Sunday. Watch a Monday night football here and take advantage of the daily special, Burger & Beer for $15 (Bud Light or Yuengling). For Thursday night games, get buckets of beers for $15 (domestic) or $20 (craft). (1214 U St, NW; 202-450-4130)
