Whether you’re flying solo, looking for a date night spot or trying to get over an ex, there’s a Valentine’s Day event for everyone. Here’s where to celebrate the day of love in DC.

City Tap House
The downtown gastropub is hosting an Anti-Valentine’s Day Party: Cupid is Stupid. Enjoy a menu of non-date dishes like Waffle Fry Gravy Poutine, Chicken and Waffles, and Fish and Chips. They’ll also have stouts and lambics on draft in addition to themed cocktails. (901 9th St, NW; 202-644-9433)

Compass Rose
The neighborhood restaurant specializing in international street food will be celebrating the holiday by transforming its dining area into a North African market with a special menu highlighting Southern Mediterranean cuisine. Tables can be reserved either as “Swiped Right” for those looking for a more intimate setting or as “Swingers Table” for a more communal feel. Seatings available from 5 - 11 PM. (1346 T St, NW; 202-506-4765)

Glen’s Garden Market
The Dupont Circle market and cafe will host a Valentine’s Day Tasting with artisanal cheeses, locally produced sparkling wine and made-to-order s’mores from The Capital Candy Jar - a perfect activity regardless of your relationship status. (2001 S St, NW; 202-588-5698)

Hawthorne
Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Hawthorne’s Pre-Valentine’s Day Party. Themed “Clean Slate” guests are encouraged to bring a photo of their ex to throw into the Burning Cauldron of Love. Tickets are $10. (1336 U St, NW; 202-853-9194)

Iron Gate
Dubbed “The Tunnel of Love,” this upscale Mediterranean restaurant will be hosting a pop up bar through February 15th complete with over the top heart-shaped decor, excessive candles and a music list exclusively playing classic love songs - come partake in the lighthearted pop up, which will have it’s own menu and cocktail list. (1734 N St, NW; 202-524-5202)

Momofuku
Enjoy a pre fixed dinner for $75 per person (optional beverage pairing for an additional $50 per person) and enjoy delicious items from David Chang like Mackerel Tataki, Peruvian Chicken and Hozon Pudding. (1090 I St, NW; 202-602-1832)

Orange Anchor
This Georgetown waterfront bar will be hosting a party with $2 champagne and dollar oysters from 5 - 10 PM. If you’re not a fan of Valentine’s Day, no worries - they’ll have a heart shaped pinata on hand for you to let out all of your feelings. (3050 K St, NW; 202-802-9990)

Rose’s Luxury
Beat the never-ending lines for a table and snag a reservation at this highly touted, one star Michelin restaurant to enjoy a Valentine’s Day multi-course tasting menu for $75 per person. (717 8th St, SE, 202-580-8889)
