Where to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2017 in D.C.

St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans are right around the corner and whether you’re looking to rage or more interested in learning about Irish Whiskey—put on your green garb and check out these upcoming celebrations.

Fado Irish Pub, March 7 - 17
Hosting themed events beginning March 7, the celebrations at Fado will culminate on St. Patrick’s Day with brunch, live music, Irish dancers, bagpipers and plenty of beer and whiskey starting at 8 AM. (808 7th St. NW; 202-789-0066)
 
The Falls Church brewpub will be getting into the Irish spirit with it’s 6th Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. They’ll have live music, food specials, party favors, and will be releasing two beers: St. James Irish Dry Stout and Tori’s Rockstar Red Irish Red Ale. Free; 3-10 PM. (444 W Broad St., Falls Church; 703-942-6840)

Duffy’s will be kicking off its St. Pat’s Day shenanigans bright and early at 10 AM. Get ahead of the game and purchase a VIP pass ($30) to get access to all you can drink domestic draft and green beer (from 10 AM-2 PM), NCAA opening round coverage, an order of corned beef sandwich or tots, and a St. Patrick’s Day t-shirt. (2106 Vermont Ave. NW; 202-462-9464)
 
The Sovereign, March 17
Get your green beer fix at the Belgian-style bar which will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a different kind of clover-colored beer. They’ll feature Fantome Vertignasse which is brewed with spinach juice and Indian spices. 5 PM. (1206 Wisconsin Ave. NW; 202-774-5875)
 
ShamROCK & Roll, March 17
Party at Buffalo & Bergen’s Suburbia on St. Patrick’s Day. Your ticket will get you one complimentary pint of beer, food and drink specials, and the famous Buffalo & Bergen Bloody Mary. Enjoy $5 frozen Irish coffees, Guinness and Jameson, live music, Irish dancers, a photobooth, lawn games and giveaways. Tickets are $10; 5-10 PM. (1309 5th St. NE)
 
Don your green, choose the venue of your choice (A-TOWNCourthaus Social, Pamplona, or Clarendon Grill) and enjoy a complimentary, all-you-can-eat breakfast, party favors, best outfit contests, entertainment, and entrance into a free raffle. Tickets are $20; 8AM - 2PM. (Multiple locations)
 
Head to Yards Park for tastings of 100+ beers, cider and stout; unlimited green beer; live entertainment; bites from local food trucks (including Fed City Bros., Peruvian Brothers, Dirty South Deli and more) and other vendors; boozy bingo and lawn games. Ticket prices vary; 1 - 9 PM. (355 E Water St. SE)

BONUS: Whiskey Pop-Up Events
If you’re a fan of Irish Whiskey, Ireland’s first craft distillery—Glendalough Distillery, will be hosting a number of pop-up events at local bars and restaurants in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you’re looking to party or want to have a more chill night tasting and learning about the whiskey, check out these upcoming takeovers:
