Wash away (most of) the work week with a tasting of Port City’s beers on tap (expect an IPA, a Pale Ale, a Witbier, and a Porter) in the brewery’s tasting room, which is open just a few hours every week. Be sure to wish the staff a happy anniversary – the Alexandria brewery launched in February of 2011.

Where: Fado Irish Pub (808 7th St. NW)

Consider it the toast tasted around the world; every year since 1993, Guinness lovers around the globe have raised their glass in the largest simultaneous toast. Celebrate “St. Practice Day” at the Penn Quarter Irish pub, which will feature live music and a pour-your-own pint contest (with prizes!) leading up to the 11 PM event.
