Urbana Celebrates Six Years With Oyster & Beer Specials, July 13-21
Urbana has been filling the wine bar niche in Dupont Circle for half a dozen years now, and to celebrate its sixth anniversary, the Hotel Palomar hotspot is spreading the birthday love with a week’s worth of oyster, beer and other deals.
It all starts Friday, July 13 with a kick-off happy hour. From 4-7 PM, chef John Critchley and crew will offer up freshly-shucked War Shore oysters for just 50 cents each. Port City Brewing will be pouring the limited edition Revival Oyster Stout for $4 per pint, and all the shells from the party will be saved and recycled by the Oyster Recovery Program.
Dealage continues from July 14-21 with six of the raw mollusks and a pint of Oyster Stout for $6 (six for $6 to celebrate the sixth birthday = 666?), plus complimentary housemade ice cream cones for all dining room patrons. Bubbly fans will enjoy the $10 glasses of Veuve Clicquot at the bar during happy hour (4-7 PM) and during dinner service all night.
