Heavy Seas Alehouse Celebrates Friday the Firkinteenth

As Heavy Seas Ale House says, “It’s the most wonderful day of the year!” Banish triskaidekaphobia once and for all by celebrating Friday the 13th with special firkin tappings at the Little Italy drinkery. The fun starts at noon with a cask of a triple-hopped Loose Cannon that was aged with yellow poplar soaked in bourbon and one other secret ingredient. Stop in to taste the brew between noon–2:30 PM and register your guess as to what the mystery component is and you could win a free lunch.

At 5 PM another secret ingredient-infused firkin of hoppy Loose Cannon will make its debut, a “bold, original flavor that’s never been done before,” according to the brewers. When the first two barrels have been drained, a third cask of Loose Cannon will be tapped, this one with apricot, kaffir lime leaves and locally-grown Black Locust Farms hops. Sounds so good, it’s almost scary.
