Cool off at the Lake Dillon Brew Festival

Cool off at Lake Dillon

Summer officially hits Denver this Friday, with temperatures in the 90s to prove it, so  if you're looking to cool off this weekend, head to Summit County and the Lake Dillon Brew Festival.

The Lake Dillon Brew Festival will be held Saturday, June 22, on the shores beautiful Lake Dillon and feature some of the Rocky Mountain's best brews. Participating breweries include Big Choice, Backcountry, Boulder Beer, Breckenridge, Butcherknife, Carver, Denver Beer, Dry Dock, Durango Brewing, Echo Brewing, Eddyline, Elk Mountain, Fate Brewing, Gravity, Left Hand, Lone Tree, Odell's, Our Mutual Friend Malt, Oscar Blues, New Belguim, Palisade, Phantom Canyon, Renegade, River North, Ska, Strange, Trinity and Wynkoop, plus Dillon's own Pug Ryan's and Dillon Dam breweries. Whew, that's quite a list!

Along with the beer, enjoy tasty food vendors and live music from Number 9 Coal, Hot Buttered Rum, and Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Revue. There will also be an after party at Pug Ryan's Steakhouse and Brewery featuring music from One Ton Pig.

Drinking portion of the day is from 1 to 5 PM while the music at the ampitheatre continues until 9 PM. Cost is $30 per person and $5 for non-beer drinkers. Children under 12 may attend for free with a responsible adult. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Colorado Brewers Guild. Find the festival at the Lake Dillon Amphitheatre and the Marina Park Pavilion on Lodgepole Street at the end of Lake Dillon Drive.
