Third Annual Sake Fest PDX, June 27

Third Annual Sake Fest PDX, June 27

Sake Fest PDX is returning to the Governor Hotel on Thursday, June 27, to prove to Portland that sake is not just a novelty that goes with a sushi dinner. Whether you're a veteran sake connoisseur or looking to learn something new, join some of Portland’s top Japanese-influenced restaurants and bars and celebrate the wonderful world of sake at the third annual Sake Fest PDX.

Guests will enjoy unlimited food and drink from 22 American and Japanese sake brewers and 40 Portland chefs. Offerings will range from great everyday sakes perfect for pairing with Sizzle Pie Pizza to rare speciality sakes that, like fine wines, are meant to be enjoyed for their fragrance, complexity and presence. Local micro-brew lovers can’t miss this opportunity to try the small, regional sakes called “jizake.”

Don’t worry if you aren’t sure how to pair sake and food. Professionals will be on hand to help you decide what will taste best with a wide variety of dishes from artisan chocolates by Batch PDX and Smitten Truffles to a whole suckling pig from Saucebox.

Make sure to arrive early to witness the Consul General of Japan, the Honorable Hiroshi Furusawa, christen the event with a traditional barrel breaking ceremony called a Kigami Biraki.
Purchase your $50 presale ticket online (here) or get your ticket at the door for $60.
