Grow Your Mo: Movember Events in Washington, D.C.

Grow Your Mo: Movember Events in Washington, D.C.

Do you know where to find your local Mo Bros? Every November, a nationwide movement sees men shave clean at the beginning of the month and spend the next 30 days growing a moustache — aka a “mo.” The campaign’s goal is to raise awareness of (and funds for) men’s health issues, especially prostate and testicular cancer.

Several bars throughout the District are hosting events to commemorate Movember, and you don’t have to be growing a mo to take part (Mo Sistas are welcome participants). Check out a list of where to get your facial-hair appreciation on and support a good cause along the way. Know of more events? Let us know on Twitter, Facebook or in the comments below.

H Street Movemberfest
1–9 PM, November 10; $12 in advance, $15 at the door
H Street Bars
The DC Mo Bros have partnered with H Street bars to offer a day full of food and drink specials for the cause. Pick up a wristband at The Big Board and enjoy deals there and at The Argonaut, Shawafel, Smith Commons, H St Country Club, Atlas Arcade, Church and State, The Queen Vic, Cusbah, Taste of Jamaica, H and Pizza, Boundary Road and finish with the official after part at Rock and Roll Hotel.

DC Gala Party
8 PM–1 AM, November 29
Ibiza (1222 1st St. NE)
