Join mixologist Horus Alvarez as he takes the class through the history and culture of DC cocktails at U Street's Vinoteca. The class will cover cover cocktail-making basics, explore DC's cocktail culture before and after prohibition, highlight locally-made spirits such as Green Hat Gin and Wasmund's Whisky and showcase the cocktails Washington is drinking now. Class members will enjoy four different cocktails--including DC’s signature cocktail, the Rickey--along with light food pairings from Executive Chef Lonnie Zoeller. The class is $50 per person plus tax.
