U Street wine destination Vinoteca hosts a class about white wines drinkable even in the colder months. Led by sommelier Tim Galvin, the class will involve tastings of several winter-ready white wines. Since its opening five years ago, Vinoteca has set out to be a place not just to enjoy, but to learn about good wine. Its fall classes will take place on select Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the restaurant's cozy upstairs lounge. Classes include food pairings from Executive Chef Lonnie Zoeller and a $5 gift card for future enjoyment at Vinoteca.
