Virginia's Copper Fox Distillery, known for its single malt and rye whiskeys, is branching out into the gin market with its new product "Vir" Gin. The gin will launch with a tasting party at U Street's Vinoteca, where Copper Fox owner Rick Wasmund will be pouring complimentary tastes of the new local gin and Vinoteca mixologist Horus Alvarez will serve up four "Vir" Gin cocktails discounted to $7 for the evening. Copper Fox Distillery gin is distilled in Sperryville, Va. Gin tastings are complimentary, and signature cocktails will be $7.
