Memorial Day weekend, as everyone knows, is the unofficial start to summer. It’s time to clean off the grill, open the pool, and pop open some summer beers. But leave all that for Sunday, because on Saturday, May 24, Summerfest DC is coming to the Half Street Fairgrounds and bringing a whole lot of summer fun.

Summerfest is one of the premier summer festivals with over 100 craft beers and over 20 wines to sample with a focus on special summer offerings. Breweries like Atlas Brew Works, Blue Jacket, Chocolate City Beer, Flying Dog, Lost Rhino, Right Proper Brewing, and Sweet Water will all be in attendance among many others. There will also be a variety of gluten-free beers and ciders available. Food from over a dozen of the city's best fooderies will be available, and the whole event comes together with tons of live music and outdoor games.

There are two sessions for Summerfest. The first session goes from 12:30–3:30 PM and a second session runs from 4–7 PM. General admission and VIP tickets are available for both here. Prices for both will increase soon, so you won’t want to wait around if you plan on attending. As a VIP, you will gain early access to the fest, full pours of five exclusive beers, snacks, and a full-size glass tasting mug. Cheers to the summer!
