Building in Brooklyn to Transform into the Classic Ghostbusters HQ For a Weekend
BBQ Films, “an event production company that creates immersive cinematic experiences in extraordinary locations,” builds complex sets and interactive environments to celebrate classic films. This time around, in anticipation of the approaching Ghostbusters remake, the company is transforming Villain, an event and studio space in Brooklyn, into the Ghostbusters HQ from the original film, and they are inviting guests to participate in this interactive recreation.
The event is only for a few days, June 8 - 10. BBQ has teamed up with Sony, the producers of the new Ghostbusters film, and they will be providing a “360-degree interactive experience” with themed rooms, ghosts, Ghostbuster training, film screenings, ghost sighting consultations, and, given the company’s history and its sponsor (Sony), there will no doubt be some surprises along the way. There will also be a bar serving up adult ecto-coolers, and each night of the event is for guests who are 21 and older.
