The double chocolate stout from 3 Stars Brewing is made with Dutch cocoa powder and cacao nibs from DC craft chocolate makers, Undone Chocolate. An easy-drinking beer, chocolate lovers will enjoy the rich, decadent taste - perfect to pair with all of those holiday baked treats. Seasonal, available on tap in the brewery’s farmhouse in cans. Coined as a “barrel aged winter warmer with Brett,” this seasonal brew from Atlas Brew Works is made with spicy hops, European malt and Belgian yeast and is aged for one year in local red wine barrels. Available now in the brewery’s tap room. (Saison, 7.1% ABV)

 

The winter seasonal from DC Brau is made with fermented Scotch ale and Belgian yeast, resulting in a rich, sweet flavor with notes of toffee, caramel, plum and brown sugar. The Scotch ale is available in 12oz cans now through March. (Scotch Ale, 8% ABV)

This stout beer from Hellbender combines the best notes of an English stout with American coffee. Using local coffee from DC roaster, Compass Coffee, (the Cardinal Blend), the end taste is reminiscent of a freshly poured mug of coffee - a great stout beer for the coming winter months.
