City Tap House
The downtown gastropub is hosting an Anti-Valentine’s Day Party: Cupid is Stupid. Enjoy a menu of non-date dishes like Waffle Fry Gravy Poutine, Chicken and Waffles, and Fish and Chips. They’ll also have stouts and lambics on draft in addition to themed cocktails. (901 9th St, NW; 202-644-9433)
The neighborhood restaurant specializing in international street food will be celebrating the holiday by transforming its dining area into a North African market with a special menu highlighting Southern Mediterranean cuisine. Tables can be reserved either as “Swiped Right” for those looking for a more intimate setting or as “Swingers Table” for a more communal feel. Seatings available from 5 - 11 PM. Dubbed “The Tunnel of Love,” this upscale Mediterranean restaurant will be hosting a pop up bar through February 15th complete with over the top heart-shaped decor, excessive candles and a music list exclusively playing classic love songs - come partake in the lighthearted pop up, which will have it’s own menu and cocktail list. The Georgetown Italian restaurant will be hosting a number of events in honor of Valentine’s Day including a wine tasting, a special Valentine’s Day dinner with four courses, a couples cooking class and a cocktail-making class.
