The Best March Madness 2017 Specials in D.C.

March Madness has begun, and whether your bracket is busted after the first weekend or you could not care less about the outcome, there’s one thing we can all get behind: food and drink specials during the tournament. Check out these game day events and specials happening throughout the Big Dance.

City Tap House
Enter City Tap House’s bracket challenge for a chance to win the grand prize: a Kayak from SweetWater Brewing Company - second place gets a Prize Pack with Sam Adams Brewery & New Belgium Brewing Company goodies. Throughout the tournament they’ll be partnering up with Sam Adams, SweetWater, New Belgium, and Schmaltz Breweries - get their beers for $5 during all Final 4 games where a brewery will be paired with one of the competing teams. (901 9th St, NW; 202-644-9433)

Jack Rose Dining Saloon
The Adams Morgan whiskey bar will host March Rooftop Madness throughout the tournament with ½ price bar bites (including crispy chicken skins, fried oysters, whiskey wings and more), $5 pints, $7 punch, and $9 whiskey. 5-10 PM on game days. (2007 18th St, NW; 202-588-7388)

Penn Commons
Penn Commons will be showing all of the March Madness games on their 12 screens with drink specials Monday-Saturday from 4 PM to close and all day Sunday with $5 drink specials. (700 6th St, NW; 202-905-2999)

Pop’s Seabar
Catch all of the games at the Adams Morgan boardwalk-inspired bar and score $5 Miller Lite Tallboys and food specials. (1817 Columbia Rd, NW; 202-534-3933)

Proper 21
The upscale sports bar will show all of the tournament games and offer $25 Miller Lite buckets on special. (1319 F St, NW; 202-847-3674)

Stoney’s Restaurant
The Logan Circle neighborhood bar will have food and beer specials during all of the games including $12 Bud Light pitchers, $20 Coors Lite buckets, $9 large cheese pizzas, and $15 for 20-wing platters. (1433 P St, NW; 202-234-1818)

Takoda
Shaw’s rooftop beer garden is celebrating March Madness with a cocktail bracket competition; each week cocktails will go head to head with the top selling ones moving through each round. The cocktail that sells the best will be put on the permanent drink list. Catch the final game on Takoda’s rooftop projector screen and see which drink is left standing. (715 Florida Ave, NW: 202-535-1252)
