Where to Drink on Thanksgiving 2017 in D.C.

by Lanna Nguyen on Nov 14, 2017 in Roundups

Whether you're doing a Friendsgiving or going to a family gathering, sometimes eating out (or getting a post-Turkey Dinner drink) is better than dealing with the pots, pans, and stress of meal prep. Head over to these restaurants open during Thanksgiving for a feast or after-dinner drink.

The Black Squirrel
The popular Thanksgiving Day Buffet is back at The Black Squirrel complete with all of the NFL turkey day action. Starting at 11 AM, enjoy all you can eat turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberries, gravy, string beans, mac and cheese, desserts and more for $13. (2427 18th St, NW; 202-232-1011)

Brasserie Beck
The Belgian brasserie will be serving a three-course prix-fixe menu including Northern Neck Pumpkin Soup, Wild Mushroom Chestnut Stuffing and of course, turkey. (1101 K St, NW; 202-408-1717)

City Tap House
Both locations of the gastropub are open for Turkey Day - if you’re close to Penn Quarter, make reservations for a traditional meal with all the fixings. For $30, you’ll get a three-course meal including an appetizer, traditional turkey dinner and dessert - pair it with house-made mulled cider, $30 (12 PM - 10 PM). The Dupont Circle location will be hosting a Friendsgiving with Allagash Brewing Company including a traditional Thanksgiving plate with recipes featuring Allagash beer, $30. Both locations will show all NFL games (11:30 AM - Midnight). Multiple Locations.

The Front Page
The Dupont circle bar will be open for “Endless Thanksgiving” - enjoy all of the traditional dishes and sides for $24.95 and add on endless mimosas and bloody marys for $12. 11 AM - 4 PM. (1333 New Hampshire Ave, NW; 202-296-6500)

Hill Country
The BBQ joint will be open for Thanksgiving, fulfilling all of your smoked meats and Shiner Bock needs. Enjoy pit-smoked turkey, signature barbecue dishes and all of the sides while catching the NFL games at the same time. 12 PM - 8 PM. (410 7th St, NW; 202-556-2050)

RiRa
The Irish pub will be showing all of the NFL games at its Georgetown location. Also on the schedule, their weekly Grape and Grains Thursdays where guests can taste specialty wines and spirits and live music will be on from 9:30 PM - 12:30 AM. (3125 M St, NW; 202-751-2111)

Sette Osteria
The Italian kitchen will be putting their spin on the traditional Thanksgiving day meal with a three-course menu featuring Butternut Squash, Spaghetti and Turkey Meatballs and classic Tiramisu. $39.95 per person. (1666 Connecticut Ave, NW; 202-483-3070)
