Where to Ring in 2018 in D.C.

Whether you’re looking for a fancy night out on the town with dinner and drinks or trying to party it up as best you can before the clock strikes midnight, here are our choices for where to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

Dinners
Alta Strada
Four course pre-fixe menu featuring Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, and Dessert courses. Menu items include Seared Scallops, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Crispy Skin Arctic Char and Triple Chocolate Mousse among others. $59 per person, 5 - 11 PM. (465 K St, NW; 202-629-4662)

Brookland’s Finest
Three course dinner for two with shrimp cocktail (Gulf shrimp, spicy cocktail sauce, Old Bay vinaigrette), Surf and Turf entree (ribeye,
whole wild Maine lobster, grilled rapini, roasted garlic mash, Bearnaise sauce), finishing with a Red Velvet cake. $75 for two people. (3126 12th St, NE; 202-636-0050)

Del Frisco’s Grille
Three course pre-fixe menu. Choose from starters including Ahi Tuna Tacos, an entree such as the Coffee-braised Pork Shank and a dessert of Turtle Cheesecake. $53 per person; Dec. 29 - 31; 4pm - close. Those 21+ will enjoy a complimentary prosecco toast. (1201 Pennsylvania Ave, NW; 202-450-4686)

Joselito Casa de Comidas
Celebrate an “Evening in Spain” with two separate dinner seatings at Joselito. From 5 - 7:30 PM enjoy a three course menu ($50 per person) with optional wine pairings ($80 per person) - menu items include Roasted Potato Cream with truffle, boletus and Iberico Ham, your choice of EVOO Poached Salted Cod or Grilled Venison and a Hazelnut Sponge Cake. The second pairing goes from 9 -10:30 PM and includes live jazz music at 10:30, party favors and a champagne toast. - $120 per person, $170 with optional wine pairing. The second seating is a six course pre fixe menu and includes all items from the first pairing with the addition of fresh oysters and Warm Lobster and Avocado Salad. The Riggsby
Four course pre-fixe menu evoking an old-school supper club scene with items including Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, Prime Filet Mignon, and Creme Brulee. $95 per person. (1731 New Hampshire Ave, NW; 202-787-1500)

The Salt Line
Four course pre-fixe menu featuring items such as Scallop Tartare, Lobster Pot Pie, Halibut a la Plancha, and Boston Cream Puffs. $85 per person, optional pairings. (79 Potomac Ave, SE; 202-506-2368)

Supra
Five course pre-fixe menu with traditional Georgian foods includes your choice of Spreads, Starters, Large Plates, and Dessert. Opt for items such as Seared Duck Breast, Khachapuri, Cheese Board, Suckling Pig, and more. Two seatings: 5 - 8:30 PM, $75 per person, 9 PM - midnight, $95 per person. Tico
Six course tasting menu available during three seatings at Tico’s ceviche bar: 5 PM, 7 PM, 9 PM. Menu items include Gulf of Mexico Wahoo, Potato Skin Yucatan style, Crispy Turkey WIng al Pibil, Egg Salad Motulena, Fish Tikin Xic and Yucatan Black Tie. $75 per person with otional $25 drink pairing. Party it Up
Barrel
Celebrate New Year’s Eve speakeasy-style with all you can drink Punch, Classic Cocktails (Old Fashioneds, Manhattans, Negronis, Martinis and High Balls) as well as beers, wine and rosé. Nosh on an all you can eat Pig Roast with accompanying sides and passed appetizers and ring in 2018 with a sparkling wine midnight toast. Tickets are $120 per person, 9 PM - 2 AM. Calle Cinco
Party at the restaurant’s Nochevieja with an open bar, unlimited tapas and a Spanish-inspired New Year’s tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight. Tapas will include favorites such as Papas Bravas, Pork Belly Pinchos and Albondigas. Tickets are $95 per person, 9 PM - 1 AM. (465 K St, NW; 202-629-4662)

City Tap House
The Dupont Circle location is transforming into a Ski Lodge, fake snow and all. Enjoy an open bar (9 PM - Midnight), shot skis, and music from a live DJ. TIckets are $60, 9 PM - 1 AM. (1250 Connecticut Ave, NW; 202-878-8235)

Mellow Mushroom
The throwback New Year’s Eve party includes a live DJ, open bar and hors d’oeuvres from 9 - 10 PM, complimentary champagne toast at midnight and party favors. Ticket packages start at $30, 9 PM - 2 AM. (2436 18th St, NW; 202-290-2778)

Roofer’s Union
The New Year’s Eve bash includes open bar from 10:30 PM - 2:30 AM with 10 local craft beers, wine, brand spirits and a complimentary toast at midnight; live music from Jonny Grave and the Tombstones as well as a late night buffet with fried chicken, house-made sausages, dips and more. Service Bar
Take part in Champagne Circus 2.0 with sparkling cocktails and champagne and fried chicken pairings to ring in 2018. Specials include $13 glasses of champagne, $69 Perrier Jouet Grand Brut served with complimentary Fried Chicken Hash; $220 MAGNUM with complimentary bottle of house sparkline wine and Fried Chicken Hash; and $450 3L MAGNUM with complimentary bottle of Perrier Jouet Grand Brut and a bucket of fried chicken. Sixth Engine
Ticket includes hors d’oeuvres, full gourmet spread, and an open bar featuring signature cocktails and local craft beer. Tickets are $100; 9 PM - 2 AM. (438 Massachusetts Ave. NW; 202-506-2455)
