Celebrate the Premier of Conan Tonight with the Coco Cocktail

Celebrate the Premier of Conan Tonight with the Coco Cocktail

Conan premier at 11PM on TBS

Tonight, November 8th 2010 marks the best thing that ever happened to TBS: Conan O’Brien’s return to late night television at 11pm EST/10pm Central. After his departure from NBC on a $45 Million settlement, Conan announced that he would return to television early last spring.

The infamous Jay Leno-Tonight Show conflict last winter left fans fearful and concerned for Conan’s late night television career. Fast forward almost a year and his fan base, bigger than ever, sits in anticipation for the premier of his new show in just a few short hours.

Of course, it’s not a party without some devious alcoholic concoction to accompany our favorite running gags and Wookie-sized television host. We now give you a simple yet delicious mixed drink to accompany the premier tonight.

The Coco Cocktail

Things you’ll need:
2oz Rum
5oz Orange Soda
Orange Tang
A real orange
Ice
Pint Glass
Highball/Rocks Glass

First: Cut an orange wedge from the Orange and go around the rim of the highball glass.
Second: Pour enough Tang onto a plate that there is a good layer and rub the top of the highball glass into the tang for a moderate coating.
Third: Combine the White Rum and Orange Soda in a pint glass full of Ice and stir until cold.
Fourth: Strain into the highball glass.
Fifth: Garnish orange peels into the shape of Conan’s hair.
Sixth: Take a picture and send it to us: info@philly.thedrinknation.com
Seventh: Watch Conan.

Easy enough that even a certain 6 ft 4 inch red-headed television host could figure out.
