Northern Virginia Brewfest, Oct 22-23
If you’re a fan of craft beer, live music and outdoor fun, you’ll want to head east to Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, VA on October 22 or 23, where the Northern Virginia Brewfest will be in full swing from 11 AM–7 PM each day. Over 40 microbreweries will be in attendance, offering samples of their latest lagers, ales and ciders as local bands rock out on stage and food carts sell tasty bites to accompany the brews.
The ticket price includes admission to one of the two days (your choice), a commemorative Nova Brewfest glass and four pours of beer, with additional tastings just $1 each (no unlimited samples in VA, sorry). Try sips from Duck-Rabbit, Anderson Valley, Capital City, Port City, Heavy Seas, Bell’s and many more, including Crispin and Castle Hill ciders. Eats will be available a la carte, most items running between $4–$8.
Advance tickets are just $20, or $15 for designated drivers or children over 16 years old, and entrance at the gate is $30 ($20 for DD). Younger kids accompanied by an adult are welcome: admission is free and there's a Family Fun area to keep everyone happy. There are also nearby campgrounds and hotels, and event organizers are emphasizing safety – you can leave your car overnight at no charge, and taxis will be on hand to transport folks back home.
