Free Diep 9 Genever Samples at Granville Moore's, Nov 12
New to the U.S. market – and currently only available in Washington, D.C., Massachusetts and Vermont – Diep 9 is a Belgian genever. The precursor to modern gin, this juniper-flavored spirit is still very popular throughout Holland and the Netherlands. Diep is hand-crafted at Belgium’s De Moor Distillery using nine different botanicals and then imported in one of several styles.
Diep Old Grain Genever (oude graanjenever) is the traditional, old-world style version, which contains more malt wine and has a distinctive flavor. Diep Young Grain Genever (jonge graanjenever) has a lighter, more modern taste, and is also available in six flavor infusions: peach & apricot, apple, passion fruit, red currant, vanilla, and chocolate.
On Sunday, November 12, Diep reps will be spending brunchtime at Belgian gastropub Granville Moore’s and doling out free tastes to all interested tipplers. Brunch runs from 11 AM–3 PM, but samples are limited, so head over early for a free hair-of-the-dog sip.
