You’ve never had fast food like this before. On Wednesday, December 7, the creative brewfiends from Chocolate City Brewing are bringing the best of their sudsy efforts to H Street beer market The Big Board. To complement the fun locally-made ales and lagers, Big Board chef Mike Lunsford and guest chef Blake Aredas (of The Queen Vic) have come up with an irreverent six-course food menu.

Tickets to what is sure to be an enjoyably raucous meal run $60 per person, and bring offerings like veal sweetbread “McNuggets” paired with North Coast Scrimshaw Pilsner; a “Bojangles” fried chicken box (with the requisite country biscuit, alongside prized Tupelo honey and Ommegang Abbey Ale); and “In and Out Burger animal-style” fries, whetted with a special cask of Chocolate City Copperstone Ale. Not to be outdone, District sweets maven Kim Moffit is whipping up a “Choco Taco” dessert that you can wash down with Schlafly 2008 Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout.

A few spots remain to the 6:30 PM event, so call ahead to make sure you get a seat, and enjoy junk food that’s not, with beers that the chains wouldn’t dare to dream of (even if Mickey D’s served brews, it wouldn’t be these!). Check out the full menu, below.
