Thanks to DCBeer, afternoon tea is no longer just for daintily raised pinkies. This Sunday, “high tea” gets a new twist with a special event at The Big Hunt. The two-hour session (3–5 PM)  is the first in a series of beer education events led by brew aficionado Bill DeBaun, and focuses on breakfast stouts.

The $30 tickets are selling fast (snag one online here), and with good reason. Five craft stouts will be served, each in 10-oz. pours, accompanied by tasty sweets and other treats. DeBaun will lead a discussion of the brew style, which some may only be familiar with thanks to ubiquitous Irish stout Guinness. Happily, there are so many more to explore.
