Gluten-Free Cider Pairing Dinner at Birch & Barley, April 9
As Greg Engert developed the impressive beer menus for ChurchKey and Birch & Barley (where he holds the title of beer director), he discovered several hand-crafted, old world-style ciders, and the restaurants currently maintain a list of more than 30 ciders.
On April 9 at 7 PM, chef Kyle Bailey will create a fully gluten-free dinner, which Engert will pair with nine ciders from around the world. Look for rare and unique sips from producers like Slyboro Cider and Eden Cider (making their D.C. debut), the Spanish Sarasola Sagardoa and many more, alongside eats like corn pasta with braised tripe and grilled flank steak with a poached quail egg. Even dessert will be gluten-free, thanks to pastry chef Tiffany MacIssac.
