DC Brau One Year Anniversary Party at Meridian Pint, April 15
Hard to believe it’s only one year ago that D.C. finally got its first production brewery in more than 50 years, but what a year it has been. The talented folks behind DC Brau are celebrating their one year anniversary with a huge bash at Meridian Pint on Sunday, April 15.
Kicking off at 4 PM, the celebration will feature no less than 16 DC Brau offerings, 13 on draft abetted by three casks, and all pours will be $5 each for the duration of the party. Get ready to toast with glasses of Catoctin Creek Rye Oak Barrel-Aged Citizen, On the Wings of Armageddon, Penn Quarter Porter and specialty offerings Thyme After Thyme with Star Anise and Stone of Arbroath with Special Sauce, along with many more.
UPDATE: Guess how many gallons of Brau will be sold during the event and you could win a $50 gift certificate to both Meridian Pint and DC Brau. Apparently, last year's bash ran through 232.5 gallons in six hours, before running out. This year the pub has 646.5 gallons on-hand — how much will they sell? Register your guess by tweeting at @meridianpint and including the hashtage #dcbrau1year. A winner will be announced on Monday, April 16. (h/t DCBeer.com)
