DC Wine Week Guide: Five Don't-Miss Events
Another week, another great reason to get your drink on in the District: It’s now officially DC Wine Week 2012! In addition to the usual grear happy hour deals on wine around Washington, there’s also a special lineup of vino-centric events this week. Here’s where to raise your glass with other District wine enthusiasts.
ArtJamz
Monday, October 15, 6:30–8:30 PM; $25
Sip your vino by the bottle or glass to get your creative juices flowing at ArtJamz, where you’ll get a canvas and all manner of art supplies to create a Malbec-inspired masterpiece (1742 Connecticut Ave. NW).
Red, Burgandy & Plum: A Night of Wine & Fashion
Tuesday, October 16, 6–8 PM; $40
Three words for you: open wine bar. A ticket entitles you to bottomless pours of Hob Nob Pinot Noir and Rodney Strong Savignon Blanc ar Lost Society, as well as sweet and savory hors d’oeuvres such as bruschetta and Nutella s’mores. Vinolovers App Soft Launch & Wine Tasting

Celebrate the soft launch of the DC-based startup Vinolovers, an app that will do just that, ar The Dunes. Twine Up: Wine & Tweets
