This summer, get your passport ready for a trip to over 40 DC bars and restaurants in the first ever
DC Passport Program. You won’t be traveling the world, but you’ll get awesome drink deals from some of the city’s most popular watering holes. Whether you’re a DC newbie (I’m looking at you, summer interns) or a district denizen, the Passport Program is your ticket to exploring the city and sipping specialty drinks on a budget.
How it Works
Purchase your Passport online
here ($20 per Passport or get it before May 22 and receive a $5 discount). Mosey over to one of the 42 bars and restaurants participating, show your Passport and receive a
two-for-one discount on a signature drink of the venue’s choosing. Offers are valid for one-time redemption and in true traveling form, you’ll get a stamp on your Passport for each place you’ve visited. The Program runs from Memorial Day to Labor day, meaning your summer weekends just got a little more exciting. Sip on a passion fruit pisco sour at
Toro Toro, cool down with a frozen cocktail at Suburbia or enjoy a grilled pineapple infusion at El Centro D.F. With participating bars located all over the city, this is a perfect excuse to go on a weekend bar crawl or post-workday happy hour bar hopping. See below for the full list of bars and restaurants.
The Passport Program began in Denver and currently has 10 participating cities. In addition to DC, folks in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Columbia, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara will be drinking their way around their respective cities.
Another reason to join the Passport Program? You’ll be drinking for a cause. For every Passport purchased, the program will donate $1 to one of
two local nonprofits:
Anacostia Watershed Society or
FRESHFARM Markets. An additional $1,000 will be donated to the organization that gets selected the most.
Check out the full list of participating bars below, or head over to
