Enliven Your Night With DC's Best Late Night Happy Hour Specials

We’ve all been there before. You’re working late, all of your friends and coworkers are out enjoying happy hour deals and by the time you get out of the office to join them, all those specials are over. Next time you’re held up or make late night plans, here’s where to eat and drink on a discount.

14th St’s newest BBQ restaurant offers a frito pie from its takeout window with frito chips topped with chili, onion, and cheese. Available midnight–3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, it’s a perfect snack after a late night out on 14th or U Street. (2005 14th St, NW; 202-747-2377)

Late night happy hour runs Monday–Thursday from 10 PM to midnight. What you’ll get: a burger and beer for $10. Choose a burger, chicken breast, or lentil burger and pair it with one of their local drafts. (716 Monroe St, NE; 202-758-2757)

The bar menu is available until 11 PM and features sandwiches, crudos, arepas, grilled carnes as well as a list of smaller snacks. Specialty cocktails and beers are also available. (777 I St, NW; 202-289-7377)

In addition to regular happy hour, the oyster bar in Shaw offers a late night version with $1 oysters and drink specials. Get the deal Tuesday–Saturday, 11 PM–close and Sunday, 9:30 PM–close. (1839 7th St, NW; 202-316-9396)

Late night happy hour runs Monday–Friday from 10:30 PM–close. For $5 you can get a Camino Margarita, Negra Modelo, a glass of red or white wine, or a rail drink; $3 will get you a Tecate Tall Boy, and $1 gets you chips and salsa. (108 Rhode Island Ave, NW; 202-847-0419)

The Chinatown wine bar has happy hour all night on Mondays and from 9:45 PM–close on Saturdays. (777 6th St, NW; 202-864-6445)

Jose Andres’ Mexican restaurant offers a late night menu Sunday through Wednesday from 10 PM–midnight and Thursday–Saturday from 11 PM–2 AM. The menu features everything from tacos and tortas to ceviche and chilaquiles. Three different kinds of margaritas are also available. (401 7th St, NW; 202-628-1005)

This charcuterie and meat-centric restaurant offers a robust late night happy hour menu. Choose from larger plates, like a schnitzel sandwich or flatbread pizza, or smaller snacks, like the charcuterie board, pork fat popcorn, or chili cheese fries. Beers range from $6–$8. (709 D St, NW; 202-524-5322)

On Thursday nights, Richard Sandoval’s Latin American steakhouse offers all-night happy hour with complimentary salsa classes from 9:30–10 PM. Happy hour food is available 5–10 PM, beverages 5 PM–midnight. (1300 I St, NW; 202-682-9500)
