Okay, so a speakeasy is not typically a go-to spot for Mother’s Day festivities, but tucked in the back of The Gibson is an awesome patio with a brand new spring cocktail menu. The Hamilton
For a unique brunch experience, take your mom to Hamilton Live for Gospel Brunch. Enjoy music by The Gospel Persuaders with an all-you-can-eat buffet and classic Southern dishes and your choice of one bloody mary or mimosa for $45. (600 14th St, NW; 202-787-1000)
Lupo Verde
The 14th Street restaurant will be adding three Italian specials to its brunch menu on Mother’s Day: Lasagna Primavera, Branzino ai Sapori del Sud (sea bass with potatoes, olives, capers, raisins and mint) and Coppa Paradiso (with zabaione cream, raspberry, chocolate and almonds Amaretti). RIchard Sandoval Restaurants
All of Richard Sandoval’s DC area restaurants will honor all Moms with free dinner on Mother’s Day. This deal will be available exclusively during dinner service with the purchase of another large plate or entree. Participating restaurants include El Centro D.F., El Centro D.F. Georgetown, La Sandia, Masa 14 and Zengo.
Sushiko
In honor of Mother’s Day, Sushiko will be be adding specials to their a la carte menu. These include Hotate Midori (seared sea scallop served with dash cilantro puree, pickled cucumber and micro greens), Namafu Eggplant Yaki (grilled eggplant with wheat gluten served with lemon miso, toasted sesame and micro cilantro), Kumamoto Oysters Two Ways, and Tuna Seven Ways.
