From all out fiestas to chihuahua races, here’s where to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in DC this year.

Cantina Marina
The Waterfront Tex-Mex bar will be hosting the 6th Annual Running of the Chihuahuas. Don't miss your chance to watch the pint-sized pups duke it out in a race for the ages...free admission and you'll also get plenty of plenty of drink specials including Corona, Modelo, Pacifico and Casa Noble Tequila. May 6, Noon - 6 PM. (600 Water St, SW; 202-554-8396)

Del Campo
As part of the Del Campo at Dusk series, the restaurant will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo fiesta complete with panoramic, sunset views of DC; signature cocktails; beer; wine and themed food stations with carnitas tacos, chorizos, chilaquiles and more. Tickets are $35. (777 I St, NW; 202-289-7377)

El Tamarindo
Celebrate Cinco de Kahlo at the Salvadoran/Mexican restaurant: a Frida-themed pop-up bar with festive decorations, drink specials ($5 Patron shots, $5 house margaritas; $7 Patron margaritas), music...and of course, a massive taco bar. Drink specials available 3 PM - Midnight with the opportunity for guests to take part in Patron tasting (first 50 guests). (1785 Florida Ave, NW; 202-328-3660)

Embassy Row Hotel
Join Embassy Row Hotel for it's first rooftop party of the season on Cinco de Mayo with margaritas, Corona specials and live music from a mariachi band. 5 - 10 PM. (2015 Massachusetts Ave, NW; 202-265-1600)

Espita Mezcaleria
The mezcal-focused restaurant will host Guest Mezcalier Kaj Hackinen on Cinco de Mayo. Hackinen will mingle with restaurant guests, offering suggestions for flights as well as to discuss mezcal in general. Additionally, Espita will be offering a limited release Chamomile Saison - created in conjunction with local 3 Stars Brewing Company. (1250 9th St, NW; 202-621-9695)

H Street Country Club
As part of Margarita Week, the H Street Mexican eatery and bar will host an all-day fiesta with Corona and Modelo specials, piñatas, and more on its roof deck. 1 PM - 3 AM. (1335 H St, NE; 202-399-4722)
