Where to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2018 in D.C.
It’s that time of the year - don your best green outfits and get ready to imbibe all of the Guinness and Irish whiskey on St. Patrick’s Day. The stars have aligned and the holiday falls on a Saturday this year - take full advantage at these pub crawls, brunches, and bar specials!

The Irish pub on Capitol Hill is kicking off St. Patrick’s Day bright and early with $.44 Guinness pints the first hour they’re open - starting at 9 AM. If you can’t make it in that early, no worries, they’ll be celebrating all day long with live music, food specials including Shepherd’s Pie, Corned Beef & Cabbage, and Irish Beef Stew and of course, Irish Whiskey. March 17, 9 AM - 2:30 AM. (4 F St, NW; 202-737-3773)

Starting at 10 AM, Duffy’s will have $5 green beer, $2 green jello shots, $6 corned beef sandwiches and Irish music all day long. Enjoy an Irish dance performance from the Culkin School of Irish Dancers at 4 PM. March 17, 10 AM - 2 AM, $5 cover. (2106 Vermont Ave., NW; 202-462-9464)

The Chinatown bar will be going all out for St. Patrick’s Day with English Premier League and 6 Nations Rugby coverage, Irish Dancers, two live bands and plenty of Guinness and Irish whiskey to last all day. Come early or pay cover if you arrive after 2 PM. (808 7th St, NW; 202-789-0066)

The annual St. Paddy’s Pub Crawl will start at Beacon Bar & Grill and take you through Dupont Circle’s top bars - enjoy drink specials and general merriment with your fellow Pub Crawlers all decked out in green. March 17, $17.77 for tickets gets you access to all venues. (Multiple bar locations)

The Arlington sports bar will host a special All Day St. Patrick’s Day Party & Brunch complete with Guinness Super Mug specials, green Jello shots and and tasty brunch bites. March 17, 10 AM - 5 PM. (1776 Wilson Blvd, Arlington; 703-640-3566)

Why limit St. Patrick’s celebrations to just one day? Head to Georgetown for Ri Ra’s weeklong Paddyfest with specials including live music every night, Irish-themed trivia and Hoppy Hour with Jameson Caskmates IPA. On St. Patrick’s Day enjoy a special menu featuring Corned Beef & Cabbage, Fish & Chips, Shepherd’s Pie and more; Guinness beer cocktails, and performances from McGrath School of Irish Dance and DCFD Pipes and bagpiper Andrew Donlon. (3125 M St, NW; 202-751-2111)

Arguably DC’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day Party, this year’s Shamrock Fest will include live music (headlining bands include Sum 41, Shaggy, Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish), food, drink specials, entertainment (including Irish dancers, fiddlers and bagpipers), craft vendors, an Irish village, games and more. March 17, Noon - 8 PM, tickets are $34.99. (2400 E. Capitol St, NE)

Cheers to St. Patrick’s Day at the Watergate’s new Beer Garden and bottomless Guiness on Tap. Enjoy unlimited beer and a brunch buffet with Irish classics like Fish-N-Chips, Bangers & Mash and more. March 17, Noon - 3 PM, $50. (2650 Virginia Ave, NW)
