We’re fans of the eat local trend, but even bigger backers of drinking locally. Happily, you can do both at the July 21 Farm-to-Street-to-Bar block party and post-festival soiree from Scoutmob and Think Local First.

Eight hours of non-stop Saturday fun starts at 1 PM with an outdoor fest on V Street NW (between 13th & 14th) that runs through 7 PM, and features beer, wine and bites to go along. Crafters and retailers will have stands set up with regional wares, Listen Local First musicians will play and you can even take classes from area cooking experts.

After you’ve soaked up all the local food and drink you can handle, shift over to U Street's Local 16 (how appropriate) from 6–9 PM, where there will be free pizza and a DJ will spin tunes.

Entry to the whole shebang is just $25 — available online only, and only in advance — and your admission fee includes three tickets for food/drink at the outdoor happening, plus two drink tickets to use on selected beverages at Local 16, once you move inside. Great local deal? Great local deal.
